The Sept honors North Star by it’s constantly rotating members and teaching survival skills, navigation and the ways of Gaia to the humans in their Protectorate.

The Sept of the Guiding Light was not always called as such- and it was not always held by the Children of Gaia. In fact, it was once a Croatoan caeren that was lost when the tribe sacrificed itself to bind the Wyrm. The Children took it over when it was rediscovered.

Over the generations the surrounding coastal cities began to push closer- and rather than push back the Sept decided to integrate the location, hiding it in plain sight as a camp ground. The members of the Sept thin and bloat as the tourism seasons come and go, and because of this the population has become much more varied then just the CoG.

Children of Gaia: The Children have held this place since  the beginning of the country, the caern small enough that the more war-like tribes have largely ignored it. The Children focus largely on protecting children, integrating urban and wild areas, and doing what they can to prevent over fishing in the near by city.

Glass Walkers: The Glasswalkers are a rather new regular addition of the Sept. As the near by towns have grown into full cities they have slowly made themselves too valuable to the CoG elders to deny. Rumor has it they are trying to create a new caern in the near by city for themselves, but so far they haven’t managed to succeed. Even so, the Glasswalkers do their part to keep the Caern running- most of those that deal with the human population such as the Warden are Glasswalkers.

Bone Gnawers: The BG population of the caern is rather small but they have been here for longer then the Glasswalkers- the formerly small town of Canterdale was built on the backs of Bonegnawer kin fishermen, sailors and workers. Most of the BG’s live in Canterdale with their kin, and only use the caern when required. There are also a small population of Hillfolk Bonegnawers that came down from the Catskill Mountains long ago and take the farm folk further west as their kin. Those few BG packs that live in the Sept full time usually are very well integrated and are mostly focused on fighting Wyrm spawn the CoG miss while focusing on the human visitors.

Black Furies: The population of BFs in the Sept are even smaller, limited to a single integrated pack that focuses on the young scouts that often visit the bawn. Though they are not Furies in the literal sense there are also a decent population of male Fury-born CoG and metis in the caern and the Sept have good relations with the tribe.

Silent Striders: While only one Strider currently lives in the caern full time there’s always one or two in the Sept at any time to honor North Star on their way to other places in the State.

Uktena and Wendigo: Due to the caeren once being claimed by Middle brother, the other two Pure tribes often have a few visiting packs to commune with their lost siblings. This is how the moon bridge to Canada was formed.

Other than Red Talons all other tribes usually have some small population in the Sept that comes and goes.
